Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk (or oat milk / almond milk for a vegan alternative)
-
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
-
3 Tbsp NuNaturals Stevia Cocoa
Syrup
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional: 1 Tbsp heavy cream (for an ultra-silky finish)
- Optional topping: a small dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of cacao nibs or chocolate sprinkles
Directions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the milk, cocoa powder, cocoa syrup, salt, (and cream if using).
Whisk for 1–2 minutes until everything is heated through (but do not boil).
Once the liquid is steaming and the surface starts to ripple, remove from heat. Pour into two mugs.
If desired, top with whipped cream or sprinkle a few cacao nibs or chocolate sprinkles for texture. Serve immediately.
Recipe Note
If you’re using a non-dairy milk (oat, almond, cashew) you may find a slightly thinner texture; to compensate, you could add a vegan coconut cream for more body.
Adjust sweetness: the syrup is concentrated — start with 3 Tbsp, taste, then add a little more if you like it sweeter.
