This butterbeer caramel white hot chocolate is a rich, buttery drink made with milk, cream and white chocolate. NuNaturals Salted Caramel Syrup gives it butterscotch flavor with less sugar. A cozy treat for movie nights and themed parties.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk (whole, oat, or preferred)
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
-
3–4 tablespoons NuNaturals Salted Caramel Syrup (plus more to drizzle, optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- Whipped cream (optional topping)
Directions
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat until fully liquid and lightly foamy, but not browning.
Add milk and cream, and gently warm until steaming (don't boil).
Add the white chocolate, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
Stir in NuNaturals Caramel Syrup, vanilla, and a pinch of sea salt.
Taste and adjust sweetness or caramel flavor by adding more syrup.
Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.
Finish with a drizzle of NuNaturals Caramel Syrup on top.
Recipe Note
Pro Tips
• Don’t brown the butter unless you want a toasted flavor (can be delicious but stronger).
• A tiny pinch of sea salt makes the caramel pop.
• If using oat milk, choose extra creamy for the best texture.
Optional Magical Toppings
• Extra caramel drizzle
• Crushed shortbread cookies
• Mini white chocolate shavings
• Sprinkle of cinnamon sugar
