For the Pink Color (choose one)
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, vanilla extract, and NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia until smooth.
- Add color: Stir in beet juice (or beet powder mixture) until you reach your desired shade of pink.
- Combine: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix — a few lumps are fine.
- Cook pancakes: Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat and lightly grease. Pour batter into heart shapes using: a heart-shaped pancake mold, or free-hand piping with a squeeze bottle or piping bag.
- Cook 2–3 minutes until bubbles form, flip, and cook another 1–2 minutes until set.
- Serve immediately and drizzle with maple syrup and chocolate syrup.
Recipe Note
Tips for Perfect Heart Shapes
- Use a silicone heart mold for the cleanest edges
- Or pipe the outline first, then fill it in
- Keep heat on medium-low so shapes don’t spread too quickly
